Worship at the West Church is ever evolving, but centres around the core Christian liturgy of prayer, music, and the reading and exploring of the Scriptures. The structure of our services is similar to that of many presbyterian and/or reformed churches, but we like to think our style is our own. Sometimes we follow the common lectionary readings, other times we take a theme or bible book and run with it for a few weeks. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and the singing is tremendous! Our singing is sometimes accompanied by a bit of British Sign Language as is our saying of the Lord’s prayer.

We’ve been live streaming onto our YouTube channel and the website since 2018. Our approach to technology is light, seeing it as a tool to help us to be accessible, rather than to add lots of bells and whistles.

Having said that, being able to add in some pre-recorded elements, like our virtual ensemble or zoom interviews on various topics, has been rewarding.

We meet this way at 11am on Sundays with the services available for four weeks on the website afterwards and for years on YouTube.

The best way to find out what our worship is like is to join us one Sunday. We’d love to hear from you if you do!!
