Worship at the West Church is ever evolving but centers around the core Christian liturgy of prayer, music, and the reading and exploring of the Scriptures. The structure of our services is similar to that of many Presbyterian and Reformed churches, but we like to think our style is uniquely our own.

Sometimes, we follow the common lectionary readings; other times, we take a theme or a book of the Bible and explore it over several weeks. This approach keeps our worship fresh and engaging for all who attend.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the singing is truly tremendous! At times, our singing is accompanied by a touch of British Sign Language, as is our saying of the Lord’s Prayer, adding an inclusive and heartfelt dimension to our worship.

Children are welcome at all services.  A weekly craft activity can be found in our "play as you worship" box.  
Most weeks we also offer Junior Church for children who wish to go downstairs partway through the service.

We’ve been live streaming onto our YouTube channel and the website since 2018. Our approach to technology is light, seeing it as a tool to help us to be accessible, rather than to add lots of bells and whistles.

Having said that, being able to add in some pre-recorded elements, like our virtual ensemble or zoom interviews on various topics, has been rewarding. We meet this way at 11am on Sundays with the services available for four weeks on the website afterwards and for years on YouTube.
